Envisage implemented an office based input system for the
automated design and manufacture of the Catnic range of
lintels. Written in VB & AutoLisp, the system uses Autocad
to produce customer drawings and engineering developments
for manufacture. Reducing costs and providing a
higher quality for the customer.
"Catnic and Envisage embarked on a project to
investigate using AutoCAD to streamline the process of
designing and costing our Fabricated Lintels.
Following it's implementation we have experienced
many benefits:
- Costing process reduced from around 15 minutes
to under 1 minute - Product is drawn for both Customer and
Fabrication outfit automatically during the
costing process - The much simplified process has opened up the task to be carried out by more of our Staff, improving throughput
- By utilising the outputted DXF profiles, the Fabrication Outfit has benefited greatly by spending less time on drafting
In addition, we would like to add that the Application
Development time was rapid and of excellent quality.
